Jacelyn Jorgensen - Women's Basketball

Jacelyn Jorgensen is a sophomore on the women’s basketball team.

She is a 5-10 guard/forward from Paxton High School.

Earlier this semester she was named the Holly Myers Female Teammate of the Year among all MCC female student athletes. She was nominated for having the attributes required to be a good teammate.

This past summer she was named to the 2024-2025 Academic All-Region IX Women’s team and was also selected to the NJCAA All-Academic First team for student-athletes with 4.0 grade-point averages.

In both of her first two semesters at MCC, she was named to the President’s List for students with grade-point averages higher than 3.90.

As a freshman, an injury limited her to 19 games where she had 19 rebounds, seven assists, six steals and 10 points. This season, she’s appeared in all 15 games and is averaging almost 11 minutes per game off the bench. In December she averaged 2.8 points per game and shot 57.1 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from the free-throw line.

She scored a career-high eight points Dec. 6 at Laramie County Community College when she went three-for-three from the field and two-for-three from the free-throw line with three rebounds. Her top rebounding game came against Casper College Nov. 8 when she grabbed eight.

She is an elementary education major at MCC.
