Vladimir Brkovic - Men's basketball
Vladimir Brkovic is a sophomore on the men’s basketball team.
He is a 6-5 guard from Uzice, Serbia.
In September he was named one of three MCC male student-athletes as finalists for the Miron Mingo Male Teammate of the Year. He was nominated the men’s basketball team’s top teammate of the year for having the attributes required to be a good teammate.
Brkovic was named to the President’s List in the fall of 2024 for students with grade-point averages higher than 3.90 and selected to the Dean’s List in the spring of this year for students with GPA’s between 3.50 and 3.89.
This past summer he was named to the 2024-2025 Academic All-Region IX Men’s team and was also selected to the NJCAA All-Academic Second team for student-athletes with grade-point averages between 3.80 and 3.99.
He appeared in 30 games as a freshman guard and started 15 games, averaging 6.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. He shot 43.7 percent from the field and made 19 of 52 shots from beyond the 3-point line (35.2 percent). Through five games this season he is averaging 7.2 points and 3.2 rebounds and shooting 45.4 percent from the field. He scored a season-high 16 points Nov. 17 against York JV.
