MCC announces winners of top academic athletes

McCook Community College Athletic Director Jon Olsen announced three athletic-academic awards Monday at the MCC Indians Athletic banquet held at MCC's East Campus.

Sophomore baseball player Connor Charvat (Elkhorn South H.S., Omaha) was named the MCC male academic athlete of the year. Sophomore basketball player Caroline Garcia Perdomo (Islas Canarias, Spain) was named MCC's female academic athlete of the year.

The award for MCC's top academic team went to the Women's Softball with a team grade-point average of 3.54. The award was accepted by MCC Coach Mike Mendenhall.
