MCC to open Monday in CWS opening game

The MCC softball team will open the College World Series Monday against San Jacinto College. The 25th ranked Lady Indians (52-7), gained the No. 16 seed and will play at 11 a.m. Memorial Day against unranked and No. 17 seed San Jacinto (41-24) from Houston Texas.
MCC’s Paige Warren earns National Fastpitch honor

McCook Community College’s Paige Warren has been named one of 75 student-athletes from 36 programs across the country selected to the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association NJCAA Division I All-Region team. The announcement came Monday afternoon.
Five Lady Indians named all-region in softball

Five players from the record-setting McCook Community College softball team were named to the all-Region IX team by a vote of coaches. Sophomore Paige Warren was named Region IX Player of the Year.

The MCC softball team is headed back to the NJCAA D1 College World Series after downing Northeastern Junior College 5-3 to win the Region IX Tournament Sunday at the Jaycees Sports Complex.

The MCC softball team topped Southeast Community College 6-3 Saturday to earn a trip to Championship Sunday in the Region IX Tournament. The top-seeded Lady Indians improve to 51-7 on the season and will play Sunday at 11 a.m. against Northeastern Junior College.

The MCC softball team opened the Region IX Tournament Friday with a 4-3 walk-off win in the seventh inning over Western Nebraska. The top-seeded Lady Indians move on to a Saturday showdown against second seed Southeast Community College at 2 p.m.
Region softball tourney starts Thursday; MCC plays Friday

For the second straight year, the MCC softball team will host the Region IX post-season tournament after winning the regular-season Region IX Championship. The six-team double-tournament begins with three games Thursday. MCC will play its first game Friday at 2 p.m. at the Jaycees Sports Complex.

The MCC softball team wrapped up the regular season Sunday adding two more wins to a record-setting season. The Lady Indians downed Otero 21-2 in five innings and 6-3 in seven innings to establish a program-record 49 regular season wins.
